Chairman Don Wagner Allocates Nearly $50,000 to Support City of Orange’s School Crossing Guard Program
Santa Ana, CA – At the September 24 meeting of the Orange County Board of Supervisors, the Board unanimously voted to support Chairman Wagner’s allocation of $47,248 from Third District Discretionary funds to the City of Orange to fund crossing guards for two Orange Unified School District elementary schools in the Third District.
“I’m happy to have provided the necessary funds to keep the City of Orange’s Crossing Guard Program,” said Chairman Wagner. “This program is vital to ensure the safety of our elementary school students in highly trafficked areas. Closing the funding gap to assist the city for the two schools in the Third District was the right thing to do in light of the city not having the funding to keep this vital safety program for our children going.”
This investment in the safety of our children underscores Chairman Wagner’s commitment to prioritizing the well-being of our community. Chairman Wagner encourages community members to remain vigilant and engaged in supporting initiatives that promote safety and wellness for all residents.
