Orange County Board of Supervisors Unanimously Approves Renewal Contract for Sheriff's Criminal Justice Academy at Santa Ana College

(Santa Ana, CA) – Today, Chairman Donald P. Wagner and the Orange County Board of Supervisors renewed the Orange County Sheriff Department's contract with Rancho Santiago Community College District for tuition and registration fees for the Sheriff's Criminal Justice Academy at Santa Ana College.

This crucial decision was met with unanimous approval by the Board, underscoring the collective dedication to preparing the next generation of law enforcement professionals.

"As California faces an increase in crime as a result of the soft-on-crime policies coming from Sacramento, now more than ever, we need to empower young individuals with a strong educational foundation in criminal justice to equip them for successful careers in various sectors of the legal system," said Chairman Wagner.

"I am pleased that my colleagues joined me in supporting renewing this vital contract for the next generation of law enforcement officers, deputy district attorneys, public defenders, and criminal defense lawyers. All elected officials in Orange County should continue to support these programs in our educational institutions to ensure the continued safety of our communities across our county."

The renewal of the contract for the Sheriff's Criminal Justice Academy will continue the much-needed training of the next generation of professionals to be well-equipped to uphold justice, maintain order, and safeguard the rights of all citizens. This decision will ensure Orange County remains at the forefront of innovative and effective criminal justice education.
