Chairman Don Wagner Calls for Vote to Remove Supervisor Andrew Do from All Committee Assignments

(Santa Ana, CA) – The following is a statement from Chairman Don Wagner pertaining to Supervisor Andrew Do’s Status on the Orange County Board of Supervisors:

“In light of recent developments surrounding the county’s lawsuit against the Viet America Society’s blatant abuse of taxpayer money, FBI raids into the homes of Supervisor Do, and his familial associations with the organization that he directed county funds towards, I am calling for my fellow supervisors to join me in voting to remove him from all his committee assignments in the interest of the county,” said Chairman Wagner. “This decision does not come lightly. I wanted to allow for the legal process to be carried out before the Board took any action, but it is clear that Supervisor Do’s affiliation with Viet America Society has proven to be a liability on this Board’s reputation and its ability to function. I urge my colleagues to join me in this action in the interests of the people of Orange County and for Supervisor to seriously consider his future on this elected body.”
